Collaborations & Communities
At HeadQuarters, we believe that culture grows best in community. That's why we prioritize sparring, knowledge sharing, and collaboration – with industry colleagues, organizers, artists, foundations, and other cultural actors in Aarhus.
Sparring from all sides
Sparring is one of the most important ingredients in our daily work. And we mean it seriously.
We collaborate and spar with everyone from venues and booking agencies to independent organizers – because we believe that good ideas become even stronger when you dare to share them with others.

We share knowledge and experience with places like Radar, Turkis, Voxhall, and kill beat... repeat – a booking and management agency with whom we have a close, creative collaboration.
And not least: Train. Train has been with us almost the entire way. Over the years, we have hosted a large number of their concerts at HQ – and the collaboration has developed into a close and confidential partnership that we value highly. Train is not just a partner – they are woven into the history of HQ.
It is in dialogue with others that we become sharper, more curious, and better at what we do.
Shared musical experiences
We collaborate with a wide range of organizers and festivals, where we both host concerts and contribute with content, execution, and atmosphere.

During SPOT Festival, HQ is one of the main stages, where we curate the entire program for the HQ stage ourselves. For the Aarhus Jazz Festival, we host both our own concerts and the official Jazz Jam.
Concert organizers like Hul regularly book concerts with us – and HQ generally functions as a stage for actors who want to present music with an edge and love.
HQ outside the house
HQ doesn't stop at the doorstep.
Over the years, we have done everything from DJ sets to cocktail bars and afterparties in collaboration with festivals like Grimfest and NorthSide. We were behind 'HQ at NorthSide' – a tent transformed into a discotheque with dancing, drinks, and White Russians.

HeadQuarters is part of Aarhus Festival Week at the Hvælvingen stage in Byparken, where we contribute with DJs, live music, and our own cocktail bar – all centered around HQ’s special sound and atmosphere.
The Cultural House in Valdemarsgade
HeadQuarters and Bora Bora – Dance and Visual Theatre share an address and values – and together we form a vibrant cultural house in the heart of Aarhus.

HQ always serves as the foyer and bar when Bora Bora has performances. We regularly collaborate on events and logistics, and see ourselves not just as neighbors – but as two independent cultural institutions that together create a special pulse in the house.
Network in the city
We also build bridges to the city's restaurants, bars, and venues – because we believe that Aarhus becomes better when we help each other. It's not about competition, but about strengthening the community and creating a vibrant city where there is room for curiosity, safety, and diversity.

Without them – no sound
A special thanks goes to Akustikken, who sponsored HQ's amplifiers. This has made it possible to give both artists and audiences a high-quality sound experience – without compromise.

Have an idea?
We are always curious about new collaborations – big or small.
... and we'll make sure the right person gets back to you.
