Their new release, “Original Eksemplar” (Original Copy), not only marks the 20th anniversary of their debut album “Naturligvis” (Naturally) but also celebrates the band's 30 years of existence. The group is rooted in Danish old-school hip-hop, coming from a place where you don't look to the next guy for inspiration. Being original and having your own sound might be a cliché, but when it comes to Bumsestilen, it's indisputable. Bumsestilen is known for a captivating lyrical universe that covers a wide spectrum. From humorous punchlines delivered with sharp sarcasm to introspective stories about existence and everyday life, to love in its various forms. All of it is sprinkled with self-irony and appealing beats, delivered on the new album by the group's final member, 6Løber – and Thomas T himself. The sound is neither new school nor old school. Just simple, original hip-hop as it should be! Bumsestilen has always been a stable fixture on the Danish underground scene. They've played in every corner of the country, from the smallest to the largest stages—most recently at the Danish Freestyle Rap Championship 2025 in Den Grå Hal—and they always get people to throw their hands in the air, even beyond the hip-hop crowd. Brun Frekvænz: “A new group! With an old sound!” With spiritual roots in 90s New York hip-hop and physical bases in Central Jutland and Copenhagen, the two seasoned rappers met unexpectedly through mutual friends a couple of years ago. Now, they create hip-hop monthly in a completely different part of the country: West Jutland, where they first met. On away turf in a foreign city. Despite their status as small-time rappers with a shared base on the windy plains of Jutland, Brun Frekvænz has quickly managed to gain a solid foothold throughout the entire Danish hip-hop landscape. In 2025 alone, they've played nearly 10 gigs across Funen, Zealand, and Jutland, and are ending their year of live shows at Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen, all while continuing to work on their debut album.
