GAFFA wrote: “Skadhauge sends a message in a bottle filled with good vibrations out onto the sea of music.” Now, she's hitting the road with musicians from legendary acts like The Savage Rose and Lis Sørensen. A concert with Charlotte Skadhauge and her band is a truly life-affirming experience. The seasoned band perfectly supports her broad artistic palette, which ranges from heartfelt pop songs to intense rock. Charlotte creates Danish-language pop with an edge. At the very core of her musical DNA are artists like The Beatles, Gasolin', C.V. Jørgensen, and Fleetwood Mac. Her lyrics explore themes of connection, gratitude, loneliness, and longing, and especially focus on breaking the feeling of despondency by seizing opportunities and reaching out to one another. Charlotte Skadhauge is an inspiring example of how you can live out your dreams and creativity, even as you approach your sixties, and even when the road hasn't always been easy. In her younger years, Charlotte was a fixture on the Aarhus rock scene as the lead singer for the band Beauty and the Beat and as a backing vocalist for artists like Anne Linnet's Marquis de Sade, Lars H.U.G., Gnags, Niels Hausgaard, and Johnny Madsen. Now, three decades later, Charlotte returns to the stage, this time as a powerful songwriter in her own right. Charlotte says: “I hope the message in my songs about saying yes to yourself can also inspire others.
