Expect distorted guitars, powerful vocals, pop-infused choruses, and soft, catchy ballads, all brought to life on stage in an energetic and intense performance. Their lyrical universe tackles the doubt and overwhelming feelings that come with a broken heart. It's also about showing that it's okay for men to voice these emotions and to feel stuck in the rut of a routine life. The band released their debut EP ‘The Weight of My World’ in July 2023 and also played at this year's SPOT Festival in Aarhus. Lara Luna describes their own music as the love child of Biffy Clyro, Mew, Phoebe Bridgers, and Tim Christensen - namely alternative pop/rock with surprising elements. Additionally, Lara Luna was selected by key figures in the Danish music industry to participate in MudMusic, a talent development program by Kansas City and Posten. The band's deep commitment to their music has led to shows at festivals like SPOT (2021 and 2023) and Midtfyns Festival (2021), plus gigs at venues big and small all across Denmark. Storfølt: STORFØLT creates a musical universe they call “Disco & Darkness” – a journey through the highs and lows of life. It's a unique blend of electro-rock, synthpop, and alternative rock, shifting from melancholic and dark to life-affirming and euphoric. These contrasts collide to create a deep resonance, inviting you to lose yourself in the music's many layers. The band was formed with a shared vision: to create music that sparks reflection and hits you right in the heart. Their lyrics explore the rollercoaster of life, from hope to hopelessness, focusing on love, melancholy, and tragedy. Tracks like “Elsebeth” tell stories of identity and acceptance, while “Siblings” dives deep into the complex bonds that shape us as human beings.
