Jazzy Nature Stories for Kids! ➤ HQ opens: 2:30 PM ➤ Show starts: 3:00 PM ➤ Admission: 50 DKK The forest is full of animals and plants, all living together in one big, beautiful cycle. But have you ever wondered what it sounds like when the trees stretch up from the earth? What do the birds and insects that call the forest home sound like? And what happens when the fox grows old and its journey ends? You can discover all this and more at the children's jazz concert, "Life in the Forest," where texts by author Lars-Henrik Olsen are brought to life with jazzy tunes and rhythms. Kids and adults alike will be taken on a journey into the wondrous world of the forest and will even get the chance to sing along. For this project, two jazz musicians, Jeppe Hjøllund and Johannes Gammelgaard, have dived into a classic circular children's book from 1976. They composed the music together, taking turns building upon each other's ideas. Because of this, the music has grown organically—like a flower unfolding its petals. The book's understated and poetic texts have been transformed into catchy songs mixed with cinematic passages, where imaginations can run wild and create vivid pictures in the minds of listeners of all ages.
