Their sound is inspired by films, history, and bands like Karnivool, Mastodon, Black Peaks, and Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. The band just released their debut album 'Averno' with a sold-out release show at Urban13. Loksmith draws heavily from its influences – including Deftones, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Avenged Sevenfold. Their sound is characterized by huge dynamic leaps and melancholic vocals, and their repertoire ranges from atmospheric ballads to hard riffs and heavy grooves. They released their album 'Lanterns' in February ’25 and have had an active year, including a sold-out concert at Rust and a show at Tobakken in Esbjerg. Since their formation in 2019, the Copenhagen-based four-piece Loksmith has borrowed from many genres, but with one common denominator: Rock. Loksmith faithfully leans on its sources of inspiration – including Deftones, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Avenged Sevenfold – and their sound is known for prominent bass roles, thundering drum grooves, detailed guitar licks, and lively vocals. Loksmith is an intense live experience. The concerts the band creates are brimming with personality, and you can feel exactly what Loksmith wants with their music from the moment the first song is counted in: To love the moment. In 2021, the band debuted on the Danish scene by reaching the Danish final of the Emergenza Festival music competition. Since then, Loksmith has performed at sold-out concerts at Råhuset and Rust and played infectiously energetic shows at venues like Tobakken, Obscene, and the Nordic Noise Festival. In 2025, Loksmith released their debut album 'Lanterns,' where they navigate alt-metal and post-rock on a live recording produced by Mikkel Lyneborg, a new and promising player in the Danish music industry. Before the album came the EP 'The Issue,' developed with Peter Brander (Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Big Fat Snake), as a gentler forerunner to Loksmith's progressive sound.
