Om dette arrangement

Fronting ”Martin & The New Songrise” is Martin Høybye on vocals, guitar, and songwriting. He's backed by a fantastic team of rotating musicians, often featuring Dennis Ahlgren (strings), Peter Dombernowsky (drums), Jeppe Juul Jepsen (keys), Jan Thomsen (guitar), and many more. The new album, ”Clouds & Silver Linings,” also features Martin's daughter Minna on backing vocals, along with a helping hand from songwriter colleagues like Ivan Pedersen, Nanna Larsen, Jimmi Guldbæk, Linda Andrews, and Søren Skov. ➤ Doors: 19:00 ➤ Show starts: 20:00 ➤ Pre-sale: 75 kr. ➤ At the door: 100 kr. The New Songrise (TNS) is built on and records by the principle: ”Honest - Uncompromising – Timeless.” Songs must be written and performed from a place of honesty and without compromise, and the final recordings must have a timeless quality. The New Songrise draws upon Martin Høybye's lifelong practice as a songwriter, a journey that has even led to a Ph.D. in songwriting (2023). Because of this, his productions often tackle the interconnected crises of our times, as he has a lot on his mind and heart. New songs are always flowing for Martin. It’s as if he has access to a seemingly inexhaustible well of new and old material, often inspired by real-life events. As a result, ”Martin & The New Songrise” are already in the process of producing the follow-up to ”Clouds & Silver Linings” as we speak – with pre-production for several other albums also underway! Some of the most immediate references for Martin's style are the Canadian and American singer-songwriter waves of the '70s, along with the sonic landscapes of Muscle Shoals, Motown, Memphis, and Nashville. He's been called “the Danish Chris Stapleton,” and while such comparisons can feel a bit forced, his range of influences also includes icons like Springsteen, Tracy Chapman, Marvin Gaye, and Willie Nelson. This isn't just about the sound, but also about the depth of the lyrics and the themes they explore. So, as they say, stay tuned! This project is built on years of solid work, and it's set to release a steady stream of new material and albums over the coming years, starting with “Clouds and Silver Linings,” out on June 5, 2026.
